Did you know there are over 70 million stray animals in the US right now? And of that 70 million, about 8 million are cats and dogs.
This foundation is doing its part to help our four-legged friends in a major way. “A forever Home Rescue Foundation" started with just a few experienced rescuers. They have now grown to over 2,000 volunteers and have placed 17,000 adorable “and I might add cute” pets into a forever loving home in just a short amount of time. As they grew they have never lost their sight or mission to the idea of FOREVER. Never temporary they wanted each pet they placed with an owner to be a forever loving home!
This foundation does not miss a beat in the process - they do home checks, vet checks and interview adopters for each and every dog. They make sure each pet receives all medical care needed regardless of costs. And every pet owner knows along with the excitement of getting a new pet you also have to learn a lot and make sure your pet gets everything they need. The foundation helps with that by educating adopters about the needs of their dogs, including medical care, socialization and training.
Checkout the great stuff this foundation does along with all the cute pets looking for a home on their facebook page 'A Forever Home Rescue Foundation'. They have not just stopped with helping our adorable pets find a home, they have also helped countless rural shelters, transported thousands of homeless pets to safety, provided assistance during major disasters such as Hurricanes Katrina and Sandy, helped reform shelters, and assisted in shutting down puppy mills and hoarding situations.
AFH is doing exactly what they set out to do and that is finding our pets in need a Forever home! And that is why we at CTW have chosen the shade “Huntress” to help highlight the efforts of the A Forever Home Rescue Foundation. At Color the World, we donate 10% of our distributed profits, split between a number of charitable causes, including A Forever Home Rescue Foundation.
