1. Lights, camera, action

Lighting is very important when you’re on video chat, just like anything else, perfect lighting goes a long way. When setting up your computer for video chat try not to be in front of a window during a bright day, it’s OK during a cloudy day.  Look for a space with good overhead lighting. No direct lights in the background.

3. Clothing color
Even though black is a slimming color in general  it is said that it can soak up all the light and make you look more harsh. Also steer away from colors such as white, as they can be blinding to the viewer and visually overwhelming. Good colors such as grays, light blues or lilacs are great choices for being camera ready for that video chat with your friends and family!

4. Lips
You don’t need a lot of makeup on video chat, just a little pop of color. I always think its a fun-time to go bold with your lips while on video chat. One of my favorite colors is speechless. You may not want or like bold colors and a good color for that would be huntress. Huntress is a very natural subtle color.  No matter what color you choose, making sure you have a good lipstick on during video chat will give you that healthy, non washed-out appearance you are looking for!
