Blend these two lipsticks to create your own custom color
Hi everyone! Carol here from Color The World. I'm excited to share with you all that the idea behind layering and building your look this fall is no longer limited to your closet! I want to talk to you guys about one of my favorite things to do with our lipsticks.
With makeup, you can create a custom color by layering, building and blending your favorite shades. And the unique thing about our lipsticks is they are buildable. Meaning you can make shades darker by adding coats, or you can even blend two shades together to get the perfect color for you! This can become your own custom shade, and the blend can take a day time shade and spice it up or take a dark shade and add some shimmer, giving you even more use out of your lipstick.
We want to share with you one of my favorite blends, which makes a nice shimmery apricot color, perfect to pair with your fall wardrobe. I started by applying our color Spicy Habanero, a bold and bright color as our base, and then blended it with our color 24k. Below I’m going to walk you through the steps to create this shimmery apricot shade:
1. Build a base layer with your first lipstick, putting on multiple layers until your desired thickness. I started with 3 layers of Spicy Habanero
2. Wait 30 seconds to 1 minute before adding a second color. Here I’m going to use our color 24k!
3. Now it is time to apply the second lipstick (24k) over the top of the base layer (which is spicy habanero). After each coat, rub lips together until you reach your desired blend. Here I have layered 2 layers of 24k over top of spicy habanero.
