5 very important makeup tips for baby boomers

1. Less is more as you age.

Women shouldn’t have to use dozens of make up products. Instead stick to high quality products that give a natural and enhanced look but also lock in moisture!

Who hasn't dabbed a little lipstick on their checks for a quick touch up.

2. Moisturize. Moisturize. Moisturize.

Use products that lock in moisture for less maintenance and beautiful skin. And I’m sure you know this drinks lots of water. Hydrating from the inside out is very important as well!

3. You do not have the same brows you had in your 20s.

As you age eyebrows tend to lose definition. It is important to enhance your brow but make sure they do not look fake. We suggest forgoing the pencil and looking for a brow pomade, which will give your brows definition while looking very natural.

4. It’s time to stop using this outdated blush method "Smile-as-You-Apply.”

Reason: This method isn't the best when trying to achieve a natural look. When smiling your cheeks rise up and that changes the shape of your face. Once youstop smiling and your cheeks return to their normal position the blush ends up being lower on your face and closer to your mouth.

So next time you apply blush, first smile first to find the apples of your cheeks then stop smiling and apply to your face in a natural resting position. It is a very subtle difference but it can make all the difference in your finished makeup look.

5. Find a lipstick that doesn’t bleed or feather and make sure you are choosing the right shade of lipstick for your skin tone.

We suggest our Pro-age Lipsticks. That locks in moisture and doesn't bleed into those little fine lines… Plus we have a fun little color quiz for helping choose a color!
